Following the principle laid down by our body politick, I'm
prepared to be a willing seller of the majority of my principles by voting Labour for a single
election term if Maryan Street, Labour MP, takes a tilt at the leadership of Labour, or in
some way can assure me out of this leadership vote, her Dying With Dignity Bill
is taken from that ridiculous lotto called the Parliamentary Ballot, and onto the slab for debate in the
Fortress of Legislation, if Labour holds sway in the sandpit there from the 2014 election.
A
vote for Labour will kill me (excuse the pun), but I’m over party politics, and
I’ll only be throwing away my vote on principle to Libertarainz anyway. So how
about it Maryan? I’ll let Labour bankrupt the country, further enslave my body, prostrated as I will be before the theocracy of state, if you give me the legal right to leave my body when I choose, with my loved ones around me, no one worried about going to jail.
The Debate:
@MaryanStreetMP Any update at all on your Die with Dignity Bill in the the Fortress's lotto Maryan? #BasicRightsDenied

@MarkHubbard33 Still in Fortress's lotto Mark >sigh<
— Maryan Street (@MaryanStreetMP) August 20, 2013
@MaryanStreetMP Hate this system. Will we know if Bill has any chance of coming out, ever ... or is it purely lotto, and it might not?
— Mark Hubbard (@MarkHubbard33) August 20, 2013
@MaryanStreetMP Currently 4 friends fighting cancer; 1 has chosen not 2 take treatment just enjoy remainder of life. No civilised out 4 her.
— Mark Hubbard (@MarkHubbard33) August 20, 2013
@MaryanStreetMP Ie, your Bill is the only one in parliament that can give positive law that matters to all of us. & it's a lotto. #Crazy
— Mark Hubbard (@MarkHubbard33) August 20, 2013
@MarkHubbard33 It may never be drawn this term Mark. But a brave Lab-led govt could introduce it as a govt measure, with a conscience vote..
— Maryan Street (@MaryanStreetMP) August 20, 2013
@MaryanStreetMP Not in my lifetime then :( That Parl can't debate the biggest decision we all make is pathetic. It shouldn't b up for vote.
— Mark Hubbard (@MarkHubbard33) August 20, 2013
@MarkHubbard33 All laws are up for voting. That is as it it should be. Find me a Nat Minister who is prepared to introduce it as a govt bill
— Maryan Street (@MaryanStreetMP) August 20, 2013
@MaryanStreetMP That's why I can never vote Labour to get this Bill through. My right to die on my terms, with loved ones, self-evident.
— Mark Hubbard (@MarkHubbard33) August 20, 2013
@MaryanStreetMP #ttrttpt Parliament should not be involved in such basic rights, other than to enforce them.
— Mark Hubbard (@MarkHubbard33) August 20, 2013
@MaryanStreetMP I have no choice to vote other than for statism, so on principle I throw my vote away on Libertarianz.
— Mark Hubbard (@MarkHubbard33) August 20, 2013
@MarkHubbard33 I am sorry about that. I am also sorry for your friends and the people who love them. No easy path.
— Maryan Street (@MaryanStreetMP) August 20, 2013
@MaryanStreetMP That's the part that hurts. The 1 not seeking treatment has no luxury of time. ... Fingers crossed your Bill gets drawn.
— Mark Hubbard (@MarkHubbard33) August 20, 2013
The Challenge:
@MaryanStreetMP - Have a tilt 4 leader & put your Euthanasia Bill thru. It'll hurt but I'll give u 1off vote 2014 http://t.co/s2ncsTf2wl 1/2
— Mark Hubbard (@MarkHubbard33) August 22, 2013
@MaryanStreetMP #ttrttpt ... but only if u r leader & u finally get Parliament 2 debate the basic right of dying with dignity.
