Tax Them, And They Will Leave. Europe is Eating Itself, Again.

In the week that singer James Blunt left his homeland, England, to live in Switzerland, because he wants to keep what he’s earned against England’s tax increases, now actor Gerard Depardieu has thrown in his French passport to escape socialist Hollande’s theft tax of 75% on his income. In the face of French Prime Minister Jean-Marc Ayrault's emoting nonsense that:

 "Everyone loves him as an artist but paying your taxes is an act of solidarity and patriotism."

All I need do is copy Gerard’s wise words penned to this immoral monster:

Depardieu has joined some of France's wealthiest business figures in Belgium following moves by President Francois Hollande's Socialist government to tax annual incomes above one million euros ($NZ1.6 million) at 75 per cent.

In the letter, Depardieu, who has extensive business interests, including wine estates and three Paris restaurants, accused the Socialists of driving France's most talented figures out of the country.

"I am leaving because you consider that success, creation, talent, anything different, must be punished," he said.

Depardieu said that over 45 years of working and running businesses in France he had paid 145 million euros to state coffers.

"At no time have I failed in my duties. The historic films in which I took part bear witness to my love of France and its history," Depardieu said.

Remember what forces in history appealed to a base patriotism that would obliterate the individual for the sake of the nation, and how many individuals were cruelly obliterated on that belief; and if the leaders of any country should remember this, that country would be France. The call to tyranny is as it always is, equality and fairness, redistribution, as it was in the darkest periods of the twentieth century. If there is ever a time the world needs a civilising classical liberalism to reclaim from the state the life of an individual human being, and thus the communities those individuals live in, it is now, though I fear it's too late. Minds have been brainwashed by the conspiracy of the caring for too long; it's the Gulags again first. With fascists in the Greek Parliament, marching on their weekends, intimidating those who don't seem like them, and a far Right MP in the Austrian Parliament demanding a written register of Jews be made in that country, Europe, circa 2012, is about at 1935, again. And don't think the predominant ethic in New Zealand, from 2014, won't be taxing its 'rich pricks', plus look at every tax related post I've made this month about how our taxing legislation has now rolled back the rule of law to the point it can't be said to exist anymore.

Tax legislation is where the rubber meets the road of the new police states populating the West. And as a society we don't even have the philosophic base to make the connections back into our histories anymore, and thus to extrapolate out the consequences. Those of us patriotic only to the freedom on which the West was built, understand the evil in the words spoken by the French Prime Minister.

The Left in France really are immoral thieves of the highest order. On news today (31 December, 2012), that for what amount to spurious reasons involving that doublespeak of equality again, though with good result that the 75% income tax rate is struck down by that country's Constitutional Council; for even more spurious reasons, French Prime Thief Jean-Marc Ayrault stated he would be pressing on with the tax rate regardless. And if you want the best signifier yet of why France is setting itself up for its next bloody revolution, and quite possibly war again in Europe, it's because of this, quote:

 "[President] Hollande campaigned against the austerity policies used in many European countries affected by economic crisis, favouring higher taxes rather than spending cuts to bring down the deficit."

Given that austerity, despite this quotation, is coming down to higher taxes, with little, or no curtailment, or even increased government spending across Europe, the flames of freedom and liberty are blown out on that continent; there is no hope. Upon the philosophic collapse of the West, there was never going to be any other result than economic collapse.
